Building on experimentation from previous work, these drawings are an exploration into material that have properties similar to shellac while preserving the integrity of my body of work. This series is a growing collection of work focused in creating formally interesting visuals using material, ballpoint pen, to create conceptually moving visuals. Using layering of ink spills and layered marks, each drawing becomes an intimate look into the subject; solely using "models" from my personal life, every drawing conceptually enriches my relationships  as well as my practice through something as basic and unassuming as a Black Pen.
